Once you have created the required sub forums, you can perform the following operations to manage the sub forums effectively:
Edit Sub Forum
Editing a sub forum allows you update or modify the name of the selected sub forum.
To edit a sub forum:
- Go to Settings > Forums.
- Choose the required Forum from All Forums section and select the Sub Forums tab.
- Click on Edit link and modify the sub forum Name.
- Click on Save.
The modification gets updated.
Disable Sub forum
Disabling a forum helps you to hide a particular sub forum from your portal. When a specific sub forum is disabled, members cannot view the posts associated to the sub forum.
To disable a sub forum:
- Go to Settings > Forums.
- Choose the required Forum from All Forums section and select the Sub Forums tab.
- Identify the sub forum that you want to disable and click on Disable.
The selected sub forum is now disabled from viewing.
Move Sub Forum
You can move a sub forum category from one forum to another according to your need.
To move a sub forum:
- Go to Settings > Forums
- Choose the required Forum from All Forums section and select the Sub Forums tab.
- Identify the sub forum that you want to move to another forum.
- Click on Move and select the Forum from the drop-down list.
The sub forum and its associated topics get moved to the selected forum.
Delete Sub Forum
In Zoho Discussions, you can delete sub forums in two ways:
- Delete sub forum and its associated posts.
- Delete sub forums and move its associated posts to another sub forum.
To delete a sub forum:
- Go to Settings > Forums.
- Choose the required Forum from All Forums section and select the Sub Forums tab.
- Identify the sub forum that you want to delete and click on Delete link.
- Choose the Delete all topics option to remove the sub forum permanently (or)
- Choose the Move all topics to some other sub forum option to move the topics to another forum/sub forum.
